Our Emergency Placement Resource (EPR) provides temporary care for children who cannot remain with their natural family or legal guardian.

Designed for immediate, short-term use, our EPR offers 24-hour care in a family-like setting, ensuring the child's safety during a crisis. These placements typically last no more than 30 days, providing time for case managers to address the situation and arrange long-term care. Unlike group homes, our EPR maintains a home environment with individualized support, ensuring children experience comfort during difficult times.

The EPR is activated when a child's safety is at immediate risk, often without prior notice or standard planning processes. This may occur due to the breakdown of a child's current placement, risks of sexual exploitation or gang involvement, or the need for after-hours placements through DIA services. The primary goal is to ensure the child's immediate safety while planning for their future.
